The delivery was not going to be made yesterday after the boxes somehow got separated, but after talking to Toll-Ipec I got a call at 4:15 to say I could pick the shipment up if I could get to their depot before 5pm...I made it!

Maybe it's time to add my two cents worth......I'm nearly at the end of building a new booster section for my OZ AREA 51...why...you might ask...because previous had only room for 98mm motors and when you want to launch an 150mm O..it just doesn't fit.

The motor I'm talking about is Gorilla's O 2645 BL.....loud and sparks.....scary but awesome what ever happens......so here is couple of pic's...

Image

My beautiful wife Leya helping me with dry fit of booster AF to MT......

I'm holding the AV bay while in front is O motor casing ( thanks to Blake/Australian Rocketry)....one of those "once in a life time" things indeed..... :D 8)

Whoa that's massive Ari! When I showed the photo to our youngest he just shook his head. He couldn't believe the size of the motor and rocket. Both kids are getting excited about coming to Thunda to see these projects. ... okay.... me tooo :D

I think that is the big brother to the N that Simon flew in June? If so, we're in for a treat.

Thanks George, like wise I sure am looking forward to seeing your fantastic creations in action ! 8)

Matthew, you are correct, should be pretty cool. As we rocketry people say : If it goes well, that's awesome, if it crashes and burns, that's awesome...so win/win...right !

Couple of rockets I thought I would throw into the transport for the 4,133km, 45 hour drive I shall be making to attend THUNDA.

A 1/2 scale (roughly) Sandia DoorKnob with a central 54mm MMT & 4 x 38mm outboards.
Hope to launch on a AT K550W and airstart 4 x CTI I303BS

Sport Scale DoorKnob.jpg

A family of 2",3" & 4" Talons (with their 6" big brother not shown) flying on 29mm CTI H159 Green, CTI 38mm J354 White, 54mm CTI K570 Classic and 98mm AT N2000W respectively.

Talon 2, 3 & 4.jpg

A couple of scratchbuilt AMRAAM's (2" & 4") flying on a 38mm AT H123W & a 75/3500 Gorilla L695 BL

AMRAAM 2 & 4.jpg

Also have one of my Thor family attending, 3" version with a 54mm tube, which I'm thinking will go very nicely on a 54mm CTI L730 Classic.

It's the baby at the bottom......

Scoop, your Doorknob looks amazing. I've seen so many photos of your Talons over the years, it will be cool to see them in the flesh.

Okay, so I will join the ranks of those posting pictures. Here is what I am tossing in a box to fly, a collection of stuff that has/has not, flown before. I think I'll call it... "Will It Fly?"

Oh, let's just keep it simple... lifetime. But if you insist on per flight, that is one flight I am NOT going to miss and I will not be competing with you!

See ya soon and I hope you got chains ready for CJ!
