Re: Sanity Check

Hi Falcon001 As Voyager has mentioned above (and I believe in another thread about your own black powder), this is very much the wrong platform for your posts. There is no place on the AusRocketry forum that will support experimental rocketry like this. Sugar Rockets, home made black powder etc. are...

Let me know if you ever decide to sell these kits. Don't have the budget for a laser cutter at the moment. :D

Once I get to fly it (Joys of Metro Melbourne Lock-down!) and confirm it works, I'll let you know - sure I can cut a few parts for you :)

What do you use for motor retention?

Friction fit - little bit of tape around the base of the engine and then jam it into the motor mount. Since the top of the mount is open, there's little back pressure at eject, so the motor should remain in place without trouble :)

Re: Complete Newbie - Clusters and Clamps and Control (Oh No!)

For me the statement on the Tile website summarises it's usefulness: "Sport was designed with our most powerful range, reaching up to 200 feet." 60 meters ;) Outstanding range! LOL I'd like to think that in most cases, if you're within 200 feet of your rocket, you'd be able to see it.. Ye...

Re: Complete Newbie - Clusters and Clamps and Control (Oh No!)

HI dmeeze The tile devices are neat - but won't work for what you're wanting - they're not GPS  They work by 'crowd sourcing' - everyone who has a Tile has the Tile app installed. As you move around, your phone picks up and transmits the location of every tile that the app detects - not just ...

Re: Krusty's latest Scratchy - "Mission Control"

I guess seeing this post has popped up again, I should actually pop in an update! Here's Mission Control in it's final form - https://www.flickr.com/photos/oflittleinterest/albums/72157669189481312 As you can see from the photos, the rear area got a total re-build. The way I built it originally, it ...

Hi Kyle,

Welcome! What area are you from? How long have you been flying rockets? Rumour has it that you may be a non-human life form based upon the few p0sts you've submitted thus far.
