Scramspace

Went to the Scrampspace Showcase today what an awesome machine. I wanted to give it a hug before it leaves for Norway but they wouldn't let me touch it. Scramspace.JPG It's got some wicked fins on it, carbon silica carbide, should last about one minute at mach 8 but the whole vehicle will be gone in...

Re: Black Hawk 24

Hey Makeit cheers for the reply and pics,I was also toying with the idea of knocking up a tower for it but thought a tower needed to rest flush against the body tube. Hey oldboy, yeah you are right I forgot to mention his motor was friction fit. If your launch lug / rail buttons aren't going to cle...

Re: First rocket build, in need of some advice.

Hey man just re read your first post and I think you would be after cheap easy fit materials such as matching a cardboard body tube and plastic nose cone of common size as a nearest fit to your measurements and maybe some 3mm Balsa for your fins, wood glue should be fine but I like 5min epoxy. Is th...

Re: Black Hawk 24

Hey oldboy how's it goin? My Black hawk has plastic straw lugs attached using five minute epoxy and an external motor retainer. I have had only one incident with the retainer and lugs grabbing the rod on launch and it shot off on at an awkward angle resulting in a long walk, a bit of graphite powder...

Hey man most of the regulations are involve with altitude and landowners permission. There is a model rocket safety code you might want to read. What rocket is it? How high will it go?

Re: Black Hawk 24

Hey Oldboy how's it goin?, I have one of these and flown it many times! Motor is friction fit if you want the full min diameter experience, I too was scared about loosing my motor so I added a Hamr 24mm motor retainer mainly cause I wanted quick motor in and motor out no banging with a stick or anyt...

Re: December Launch - 9 December 2012

Thanks guys, awesome Stewart I have a 24 mm version of that motor to go up next year I know it's smaller but should still be good, maybe it'll hang around for long enough to get a good look at it. With three fuels being used Simon I'm guessing it would be a challenge for it to all ways work out perf...
