Re: 10th December 2017 Launch and AGM

Hi Guys,

Matt finally downloaded the video footage off his drone and stitched it together in the video below.

A good overview of the launch site, and a very different viewing perspective of some launches, so hope you enjoy it.

Regards,
Mark P

Re: August 2015 Launch

Mark O'Donoghue launched his "Separation Anxiety" first with G69 for a perfect launch followed by a L1 attempt on H143. Sadly the name of the rocket came through as the parachute separated at ejection. Not to panic as Mark was able to re attach the chute and did a second go at it and this...

Re: August 2015 Launch

It was a great day and Matt and I really enjoyed ourselves. Hard to believe that it was 18 months since we last launched. For its maiden flight, Matt launched a PML Small Endeavour on a G250 Vmax which flew very straight and ejected at apogee. It was also Matt's 30th launch. I put a G88 smokey into ...

Re: Hi There from me & my son

Welcome to the forum. You will find plenty of useful info here. With regard to the maths, it is best to download a copy of Open Rocket, which is free. It is very easy software to use and you can create your rocket design and simulate flights with different motors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Balls 23 - September 2014

Bad luck Nic. Any possibility the thermal expansion differential between the fin can and airframe caused the fin can to become loose? A fin can travelling at Mach 2.7 would be unstable and side ways air pressure onto a cantilevered fin would a possible reason for bending. Just a hypothesis. Sent fro...

Re: Gammatron - BT80, 29mm MMT

Looking good Ian.

You wouldn't believe how hard it is these days to find time to get near the work-bench.
At this rate I'll need a walking frame to retrieve it.

I know what that is like - haven't launched since Feb 14, but hope to launch one of my latest builds next weekend.
