Re: Anyone up for a launch in a couple of weeks time?

Krusty and I are looking to have a small 'test launch' @ Jells park soon. If it works out, we might look to 'crank it up' next year.

Re: MARSA GPS Transmitters

IIRC, those RF modules are available on all the UHF ISM bands (433, 800, 900 & 2.4) If you can, get it fitted with the 2.4G version as this overlaps the 13cm Amateur band. If you are licensed, this allows you to up the total power somewhat.

Re: Going MAD

I've done a similar thing to Rob, but with a single 6-way block across the end of the board. The screw terminals are on a tiny 0.1" spacing. ( same as on the Parrot Alt.)

Re: Tools of the Trade

Ah, well, my DP has a bottom speed of 95RPM. If you ever think you'll use a hole-saw or a countersink bit, etc, spend the extra and get a 2-belt press.

Re: Tools of the Trade

The cut is not too bad - provided you follow these 3 rules:

1. use a drill press
2. go real slow
3. make sure both arms are set exactly the same or completely different.

Re: Religion & Politics

This time I'd thought I'd vote not for the pollie who didn't make a single gaff, nor for the one who 'promised' to put the most amount of money back in my pocket. No, this time I thought I'd vote for someone who displayed vision. Even if I disagreed with much of their actual policies, I'd vote for s...

Re: Going MAD

Yep, I'll take 2 switches and 10 of the 5A fets. I'm picking the KMZ51's from Rockby in person. All the passives I already have to hand.

Re: Going MAD

AC: do you have a part number for the switches? I already have the other components or can get them locally with the exception of the FETs.
