Shroud Line-less Parachute

My young lad got some birthday presents today, among them was a modern day variation of the paratrooper we all would have played with at some stage in the past. Re: 8th April 2018 Launch

One wouldn’t have thought that it was an overcast and rainy start to the morning, with conditions turning the complete opposite to blue skies and sunny during the first 30 minutes of proceedings. 36 rockets took to the skies on the following motors: 6xA, 7xB, 11xC, 3xD, 2xE, 2xF, 3xG, 1xH and 1xK. Re: Flat Earth

Yea I was just puzzled at all that effort for 1500-2000 odd feet when you could just look out a plane window. I suppose it’s more the publicity stunt tho. Kind of reminds me of the Astronaut Farmer film.

Re: Complete Newbie - Clusters and Clamps and Control (Oh No!)

Again welcome to the forum mate. It’s been a real pleasure to witness firsthand someone go from our FITI program to a full fledged member. As several people have already mentioned, terminology is your friend. Missiles are usually by design very unstable so that they can be rapidly steered or ‘guided...

Re: 18th March 2018 Launch "Flames Smoke & Noise Spectacular"

What a fantastic day we had for our Flames, Smoke and Noise 2018 launch. Nice still conditions with light cloud clearing by 10am were ideal for building the 250-strong crowd up with some low powered rocketry before breaking out the big guns. There was a whopping 145 flights in total, with 95 pyrotec...
