Interesting article on 3d Printing

https://www.itnews.com.au/feature/is-co ... ins-485279?

Interesting for us, not just for the fact that 3d printing is useful for custom parts, but for the details on Woodside's partnership with Monash Uni to 3d print a new hybrid rocket motor with ProjectX....

Anyone bought from "Small Parts and Bearings" in QLD before?

http://www.smallparts.com.au/products/

They seem to have a very large collection of very little things I have been having trouble sourcing.. and the prices seem VERY good (much of their hobby line seems to be discontinued lines)..

Anyone ever bought from them before? If so, are they any good?

Re: Anyone local with lead shot?

I guess it would be similar for HP rocketry but perhaps for extreme acceration motors, worth asking around to see if any more was done by others. Definatley do not want a stability mass to change position at launch!! Most of the research I have done indicates that best practice for lead shot epoxy ...

You see - we just need a floating pontoon launch tower - as the rain falls and the land floods, you’ll get an altitude boost... [emoji12]

Re: Anyone local with lead shot?

I’ve got about 6kg sitting here. Used it many projects including 18mm NCs. I’ll send you a couple hundred grams ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Cool. Much appreciated. One of these days you’re actually gonna tell me what beer you drink... Otherwise - I’ll have to tease it out of you by just ...

Re: Anyone local with lead shot?

Check out a fishing store for sinkers. Think my last lot came from Big W. Didn’t even think of that! I was planning on doing some epoxy slurry... I’ll check it out... I do need it to be as small as possible, first task is 24g in an extended 24mm nose cone that I also want to put an eggfinder mini a...

Anyone local with lead shot?

Looking at some lead shot for some nose cone wieght - All the suppliers I can find online sell it in ~10kg buckets - probably about 9.5kgs more than I think I could use for all the things I currently have planned for the next 12 months... Does anyone have a bead on a Brisbane supplier that might do ...

Re: 15th October 2017 Launch. "October Skies"

Just as I was leaving Cedar Grove today, I noticed a few locals on dirt bikes putting something orange on the fence.. I pulled over quickly - my 29mm Aspire from 2 weeks ago turned up a long way from where I was looking for it: Google Chrome001.jpg IMG_7636.JPG IMG_7637.JPG By the look of it, I thin...
