Re: 9th September 2018 Launch

Pretty cool video! Always impressive to see your creations take flight.

Thanks to QRS/AMRS my updated card already arrived and DNRME explosive form sent in. No doubt that will take 6-8weeks.

Re: 9th September 2018 Launch

Id guess it was the UQ Space group, they had some pretty nice camera gear. I see they posted and tagged everyone on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/36058466445563 ... 762416257/

Re: 9th September 2018 Launch

It was great to see everyone again. A big thank you to Blake for his midnight packing of my very late order and going beyond!

Was a big turnout... photo taken around 9:30am Image

Re: 19th August 2018 Launch

Hi Brad, Thats always good to hear. The wife has told me, repeatedly, that if I lose “another” rocket no more.... yikes. The “lost rocket” was a tiny cardboard, unpainted, 18mm MD worth no more than $10.. it failed to deploy the streamer and ended in the longer grass towards the gate. I guess what g...

Re: 19th August 2018 Launch

Does the club still have the RF beacon for members to use on a flight? I noticed a post on the forums when looking at tracking options. PS: I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator if that was a requirement. The callisto on the H is likely to be be around 1800ft with the standard 24” parachute. so sho...

Re: 19th August 2018 Launch

I am hoping to send my Callisto up on an H for the Level 1 Certification. The main reason for holding back is the lack of tracking hardware. Do I need to arrange anything before hand with QRS or is it just on the day? From what i could see on rocketry.org.au there isn’t a test, etc.. Obviously I wil...

Re: AusRocketry Callisto vs Callisto MPR

Spoke to Blake last week. The MRP is an obsolete item and no longer a product. It was basically the Rocket plus the reloadable motor hardware.

The items should arrive tomorrow :-)

AusRocketry Callisto vs Callisto MPR

It would be good to recover and have a few flights out of her...

I am still exploring a GPS tracker as it seems useful for those unexpected long walk recoveries...

AusRocketry Callisto vs Callisto MPR

Hi Oldboy,

I did grab some 1010 buttons as well as a selection of epoxies with the Callisto.

But the MPR kit doesnt seem to give any extra indication of the contents.

Re: AusRocketry Callisto vs Callisto MPR

Then we can have a drag race [emoji846] I have just placed the order plus some epoxy/jb weld. Look forward to the race in the future. There is a lot of work ahead based on the build threads and interactions with other QRS members. But very rewarding (if it flys and can be retrieved..). Thanks again...
