Re: Batteries needed for Thunda

G’Day,

What connectors do you need? We can prob just organise some batteries for you. AusRocketry carry’s varying types depending on devices being sold at the time, but if it is standard batteries for Altus Metrum, I’ll just get some in for you.

Cheers,

Blake

Re: Launch Tower

Merry Christmas Joe,

We most likely do, just need to know whether to bring it or not as we don’t usually keep those in trailers for regular launches.

What is the over all OD of the fin tips?

Re: Non-pyro system

Perhaps I am misreading the original question, but if your are looking for a completely ‘pyro-less’ system, most of those co2 systems are no good as they all require an e-match firing a small BP charge. This is often an oversight that people claim pyroless, but it is more ‘minimal pyro’. If you do n...

Re: Cedar Grove launch site ?

Merry Christmas David, you were only 5min from my place, shame I missed you coming past. That is actually really good for QRS as when the works are completed the land becomes unusable for development aka perfect for rockets. It has not hindered our launches at all and since it is a council project t...

Thanks. I’d be happy to send it again.

Hi Steve, I know Dave has been away with work a bit, perhaps you could send the reports directly to AMRS: info@rocketry.org.au

Re: 14th October 2018 Launch “October Skies”

QRS has been following the weather all week with only late afternoon showers that wouldn’t affect the launch. Unfortunately there has been a change in the weather pattern and 20mm of rain is predicted over the course of the event. To give everyone the best experience at Flames, Smoke & Noise, th...

Re: Australian Rocketry shipping container pre-order announcement

Ping Blake on info@ausrocketry.com. He is quite helpful and flexible at times :D He is, but I'm a bit worried for him. I've emailed and left voice mail and not heard back in the last couple of weeks. I also have an order sitting in "Processing". Does anyone know if everything is OK at AR?...

MissileWorks RRC3 units and CTI hardware restocked

We have just received a new shipment of MissileWorks RRC3 units and some CTI hardware.

With the university rocket competition currently running, these won't be available for long.

AUGUST 2018 LAUNCH CANCELLED - FIRE ONE WEEK/HEAVY RAIN THE NEXT It is with great disappointment that for only the second time in QRS’ history, we have to cancel a launch. Unfortunately the weather folk got it right for a change and it has been pouring since before 4am. The next launch will be in t...

Australian Rocketry shipping container pre-order announcement

The much anticipated rocket motor and component pre-order is here. As Australian Rocketry prepares for the next shipment of motors and other goodies, we always like to give people the opportunity to pre-order products as to not miss out on that certain item they really want. This shipment will have ...

Re: Security Error on Aus Rocketry site

All fixed. We changed SSL certificate provider in anticipation of some major changes to the website and like any good rocket endeavour, there was a slight hiccup.

Thanks for raising this ;-)

Re: Tapematch

Tapematch is a fireworks product similar to quickmatch, but with the ability to stick it to things. It is made by sprinkling BP into a thick roll of tape with a skinny roll over the top (sticky sides touching). It was first created to make fusing up set pieces (fireworks writing) easier as tradition...
