Re: 8th March 2020 Launch "Flames Smoke & Noise Spectacular"

Thanks for the report Matt, it was a fantastic day and much needed to lift spirits after the dreadful weather over the last 6 months.

Re: RE: Hello from Melbourne

Hey guys, Great to be on here. I just rolled into Melbourne from Perth to start studying aerospace engineering at unimelb. I've joined the ARES rocket team here and I'm planning on launching my own low power models while working towards my L2. I'm guessing MARS is the place to be in Vic for all roc...

Re: AMRS Member iin Alice or Darwin

Yes there is a member in Alice Springs, but that isn't the challenge it is the launch site for HPR that needs to be setup with approvals.

Re: Lost rockets page

Hi all, a rocket has been located to the south which is either a 75 or 98mm (can't really tell from the low res photo). It looks high performance though.

If anyone is still missing a rocket like this, can you please let us know (with a description).

Re: RE: Re: Welcome to Australian Rocketry 4.0

Would be great to be able to do a quick search for kits of certain type, ie: fibreglass etc... And also what they are rated for, Level 1, 2... and what kits come with and without instructions Hopefully something that could be implemented in a future update just to make finding the right kit that li...

Re: First go

The forum is a great tool for general info and you can learn a huge amount from here. Great you have already worked out the wadding issue, so more success is headed your way already Even if you aren't a member, reach out to the clubs and attend a launch just to check it out. Not only will you learn ...

Re: First go

Welcome Peter and great to see another new rocket enthusiast launching. That is not right if you have to remove layers of cardboard on the motors, can you confirm the rocket takes 18mm diameter motors? Or do you mean shorten the motors, which also means there is some issue, perhaps a motor block ins...

Re: Hello from the Upper Hunter

Ditto to Derek, except if you want a quality product to start off with, look at a Southern Cross Rocketry (SCR) low power rocket kit and components ;-)

Re: South Australian regulations

G'Day upsidedownengineer, SA is a funny one with a unique way of addressing rocketry. Currently there are no active rocket clubs, however this is about to change with universities and enthusiasts in the process of getting a new (long awaited) site. This group will be under the national body, Austral...
