Re: Anyone local with lead shot?

I’ve got about 6kg sitting here. Used it many projects including 18mm NCs. I’ll send you a couple hundred grams ;-)

Re: 2017 Launch Dates

Unfortunately mother nature has other plans this weekend, with 70mm+ of rain expected. Subsequently the launch has to be postponed. The new date is still to be confirmed so please wait out whilst this is organised.

Re: Joe Turners L2 Build Thread

I should mention the MN1604 and MX1604 are the coppertop batteries if you are looking for a specific part number. FYI, here are old (left) and new (right) Duracell internals. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171116/17d8cf7f2fed6fa46c7ebd4562c2962d.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Joe Turners L2 Build Thread

Great work Joe, as for 9V batteries, (much like Glad Bake) use Duracell (accept no substitutes) as they used to have welded cells, however have now switched to plates which are set in epoxy and SOOO much better again.

Re: bodytube inner surface and ejection charge - heat protection

That's what I suspected. I used polyester resin. So I will try to find epoxy for my next rockets. As others have mentioned, I have not seen the fibreglass tubes burnt from an ejection charge, rather just residue/marks. So just for clarity, are you saying that you made your own tubes using polyester...

Re: Taipan 38mm Min Dia Build

Tell us about he kit NL. I found a previous post from Blake that this is roughly equivalent to a BlackHawk. I cannot see the kit listed unless I do a search but that comes up with no details and a $899 price tag, which I thought a bit was excessive for a MD 38 unless it was gold plated. I know Blak...

Shock horror right lol. You may have seen a recent announcement, there are some BIG rockets happening the background and need to test certain components somewhere ;-)

Re: 2017 Launch Dates

I plan on being there, with family. I have a couple of launches planned, but will probably also do a bunch of smaller ones as well so everyone has a go. It's usually more relaxed than a normal launch and you'll get to see a whole bunch more of how people do rocketry etc. G80 in a MD sounds good to ...

Arnhem Space Centre

After being tight lipped for a little over two years, I am finally able to share the exciting news of the new Arnhem Space Centre which Australian Rocketry Pty Ltd has been consulting for. This has included numerous trips to the Northern Territory and to Wallops Island to meet with NASA and Orbital ...
