RDS were of the belief that a launch out of Canberra (Australia's capital) would provide a larger marketing opportunity (more news coverage, etc), and as such more sales of their products, you can't blame them for that.

So 15 years ago what was actually happening HPR wise in Aus? I don't think I ever answered this question, sorry :? 20 years ago I had the idea of holding a HPR launch in Australia to promote HPR (thus I joined both the TRA and NAR), with the view of becoming effectively what Australian Rocketry is ...

I utilised option 2 for the Patriot, noting that the Patriot has 5 sections, the upper and mid airframes are attached to the Av-Bay.

I have utilised the 60” IRIS Ultra chute for my Hyper LOC 835 https://forum.ausrocketry.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4234&hilit=Iris, a great chute, very compact.
