New WFX Hybrid Launch Controller

I have recently acquired the WilsonFX hybrid launch control system. The system comprises hybrid versions of WilsonFX's LCU4W and PBU4W wireless launch control and pad units, respectively. The LCU4W-Hybrid unit has two ignition channels (CH1 and CH2) and two N2O GSE control lines for FILL and PURGE (...

Re: Launch Day 30th October

Good to see our NSWRA mates getting some launching happening. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our last opportunity for this year.

Great pics, as usual!

Hopefully, you’ll have some new gear to play with for you next launch!

Cheers from CRG.

November L/MPR Yass Launch

Although we are now out of COVID-19 lock-downs in the ACT and NSW, the November launch at Yass is cancelled. The principal reason for this decision is the unfavourable launch site conditions after the regular rain we have experienced this Spring. The grass is very long and we have no way of cutting ...

October L/MPR Launch Cancelled

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 lock-downs in the ACT and NSW the October launch at Yass is cancelled. We will be monitoring the situation over the next few weeks to make a decision about the November launch.

Stay safe and well.

September Launch Cancelled

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns in the ACT and NSW the September launch at Yass is cancelled. We will be monitoring the situation over the next few weeks to make a decision about the October launch, however it is likely that it too will be cancelled.

Stay safe and well.

Re: Tripoli Membership

I have no idea what has happened in other states but in NSW our Club Secretary organised for all our memberships to be transferred from AMRS to Tripoli and this included our certification levels. The process was completed last year and worked great. Thank you David! :D I don't think this is Tripoli...

Re: AUGUST LAUNCHES CANCELLED

It should be added that this decision was ultimately triggered by the ACT Government’s decision to consider implementing an ACT Bubble in response to the current Covid-19 situation in NSW and more broadly.

AUGUST LAUNCHES CANCELLED

Canberra Rocketry Group has been keeping a close eye on the COVID 19 situation in NSW since the Delta variant outbreak in Sydney. While it may still have been possible to hold our Manton and Ardletahn launches during the outbreak, the executive committee has decided in the interests of more abundant...

CRG’s July 2021 L/MPR Launch at Yass

Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 situation the CRG committee has decided to cancel next Sunday's launch at Yass. While there are no local cases in Canberra, and the surrounding areas in NSW, it was decided that this was the best option at this stage. Hopefully we will be able to launch in ...

Fellow forum member strud can probably help out with these questions. Also read up on Tripoli’s experimental/research launch requirements.

Re: CRG's June 2021 HPR Launch at Ardlethan

Todays' launch was cancelled due to heavy overnight rain, morning fog, very low cloud, drizzle and showers. It was decided to allow the site to drain and dry out over the afternoon to allow for easier access and site passage for Saturdays' launching. The increased traffic would have caused significa...

Re: CRG's June 2021 HPR Launch at Ardlethan

Please note that we will be closing the range from 15:30 on Saturday afternoon so that we can pack up prior to sunset at about 17:00. Flyers should be prepared to complete any launches before this time and to allow enough daylight time for retrieving their rockets, if necessary.

Re: CRG's June 2021 HPR Launch at Ardlethan

Today’s launch was unfortunately cancelled after one launch due to periodic drizzle, showers and low cloud base. Unfortunately, the forecast conditions for tomorrow are probably worse. However, Saturdays’ forecast is much better, but won’t be close to the conditions we experienced on Monday and Tues...
