Re: Another Display by QRS & Other News

Untitled 5.jpg A big thankyou to Petar for his enthusiastic presentation to Beaudesert State School. We would like to pencil that in for next years Science Week if possible. Here is the article that I wrote for this weeks newsletter. Rocketry Display to Celebrate Science Week Beauy kids had a blast...

Re: New guy here.

That's really starting to come together. Your version actually looks better than the original. Where did the wraps come from? Do you intend to stick the wing wraps onto thick cardboard? How is the recovery going to work? Mine actually has the parachute wedged in a compartment in the rear with the mo...

Re: New guy here.

Hi "The Mole" and welcome to the forum.

Buck Roger's Starfighter would have to be one of my favourites from my fleet. Let us know how yours turns out.

Re: Centuri Draconian Marauder (image heavy post)

The plans for it are on Jimz's site under Centuri 5335 starfighter. I guess I could clone it and continue to fly it that way. The nose cones wouldn't be hard to find. I wouldn't know how to go about duplicating the cardboard bits though. From memory it use to fly quite well.

Re: Centuri Draconian Marauder (image heavy post)

Hi Krusty, I just happen to have its baby brother "Buck Roger's Starfighter" which I built when I was a kid over 35 years ago. It's still in one piece but these days I am not game to fly my old collection. Not only was it made from cardstock also but it has an interesting recovery system t...

Re: 2012 Challenge

What each rocket must not exceed 1500 grams!!!

I guess the upscale version the Beauy BFF's have been working on during the offseason is out then?

Never mind they said it was too noisy anyway.

cheers

Re: 2011 Challenge

Hi Blake, It sounds great! Email hasn't filtered down to me yet but I just read the rules and Beaudesert will certainly be entering. We will also have a crack at the highschool egg lofting competition. We were wondering what else we could do with the eggs our school chooks lay besides giving...

Re: Amazing MD80 Mini DV cam

Who did you purchase these lighter cameras from and how much (Australian) did they cost? Are they light enough to attach to low powered rockets? How long did they take to arrive? I like the fact that it is easy to attach with the lens pointing down at the fins.

Hi Guys, I would like to thank The Queensland Rocketry Society for all the effort they put into making the Australian Rocketry Challenge a reality. A special mention goes out to Blake for the hours of hard work that he must have put into the event. I also like to thank Ari for his support and advice...

Re: AYRC 2010 GO FOR LAUNCH

Thank-you for organising the Australian Youth Rocketry Challenge. It was a blast! We all had a lot of fun and we were excited when we got third place considering we were the only primary school there. We are hoping to see you all again next year and hopefully we will have good luck again. A special ...

Re: AYRC 2010 GO FOR LAUNCH

The Beauy Beasts want to say a Big Thank-you to The Queensland Rocketry Society and especially Blake and Ari for setting up the competition and making everything possible. We really enjoyed watching the demo rockets and we also enjoyed sending our rocket as high as we could. I think we now have a be...
