Re: Don't Debate This, Too

Subscribed! I'm keen to see how integrating the fins into the motor mount pays off. Speaking of fins, what's that boxing kangaroo sticker I spy on the top shelf?

Re: Mach Speed Club

Thanks for the encouragement to post this Drew ;) I've spent far too much time digging through an old and dying laptop, a backup drive, an old camera and and 2 phones to try and get some photos - without a lot of success. Additional stats on the 38mm rocket Dave (Pink Hat as he liked to be called) a...

Re: Devilish Project (Go Devil 38 kit bash)

If you're handy at machining why not turn down a new adapterto save on space and weight.

Mach 2.5+ is achievable if you pull excess weight out (sorry just looking for an excuse to trot this video out..).
Thats 2025 MPH and 112g's.

Re: Oct 1/2 launch Westmar

Good news for the farmers, not so good for rocketeers.

We had rain at one of the first launches at Westmar, the ground turned to mud, cars got bogged and we churned up the paddocks. Hopefully the weather in November plays nice.

Re: Questions

Hi James, All valid questions, I'll try and answer a few. WESTMAR The instrument for Westmar does not cover High Altitude balloons, you'll need to look elsewhere or prepare a detailed proposal for such a launch, and be prepared to fork out significant money for CASA and others to review the proposal...

I've got an unused 98-6GXL case + closures lying around you're welcome to borrow (unless Nic gets to it first) if it'll help you get this thing flying.

Re: Queensland Explosives Information Bulletin 77

Hobby rocketry does not equal work. The hours requirement relates to license holders who work in an industry using explosives.

Unless you work for someone or own a business in the explosives industry, record 0 hours.

Re: 8" Fincan

Where did 2.jpg and the optimal LE angle of 38.7 degrees come from? The finshape is quite similar to the fins on the rocket what David G. and I kicked your butt with at WWW years ago, a shape Im planning to duplicate on my next rocket.

Re: clust-o-matic

I bought and never used a clustomatic years ago, and have subsequently misplaced the unit I had. Put me down for a replacement unit if you need the numbers for a new order PK.
