Re: Modern High-Power Rocketry 2 By Mark Canepa.

I still have two copies stashed with all my old stock. Not sure what they cost me. $40.00 + shipping sounds reasonable.

suburban dot rocketry @ swiftdsl dot com dot au is still in operation so I can be emailed directly if anyone is interested.

Taking a long break

Hey Guys, For some time, probably since I moved 3 years ago - but more so over the last 12-18 months, I have found it increasingly difficult to service the store. Suburban Rocketry is a part time gig that I have tried to keep going while working full time, balancing a young family plus all the other...

Christmas closure

Hey guys,

Christmas is almost upon us!

This year I am not taking time out so it will be business as usual throughout the festive season.

As SR winds up year number 4 I would like to again thank the Aussie rocket community for all their support.

Have a great and safe one!

Re: Saturday November 26th - Doonside - Launch, BBQ and AGM

I had put in to take the Friday off and was coming down for this launch. I just checked the forecast and it may not be that bad after all - rain easing tomorrow, and Saturday has "Partly cloudy. Isolated showers" This will be the second launch I have had to cancel this year.... But it is ...

I had put in to take the Friday off and was coming down for this launch.

Last night the Sydney news predicted rain for the next week. Bugger!

Time to cancel that accommodation.

Re: New Stuff - Not a teaser

Thanks Kryten.

We are down to 2 AltimeterOnes. I would prefer to offer them here first before I put on them on the website so if anybody else wants one please let me know in the next week or so.

Re: New Stuff - Not a teaser

It has been a rainy few days in Wauchope so I decided to spend the weekend doing some site maintenance and get rid of the back-log of work that has been building up. As a result I have now added another 60 items to the store which can be found under our NEW STUFF link ( http://www.suburbanrocketry....

Re: New rocket workshop

That's excellent Bones, when are you having the 'rocket shed warming'? we could all bring epoxy, paint, paddle pop sticks, plastic cups, rollers etc. as gifts :-) Save the space - just bring cold beer and an esky to sit on. Tooheys Old will be fine - XXXX will result in rocks being thrown at you, b...

Re: New rocket workshop

My new rocket workshop is done! The electricals got finished today. Need a few spare weekends to acid wash and seal up the concrete floors (because I loath concrete dust), but soon I will be back to rocketry with much gusto. My hobby has been on hold now for the best part of two years so will be goo...

I would like to share my new invention. It converts sliding friction to rolling friction. I thought it up all by myself.

Re: Colonial Viper

OK.... I think the penny just dropped. Is it correct to assume from the point of view that it becomes drag once the velocity of the rocket exceeds the speed of the air being forced out of the EDF? The EDF's I am looking at are rated to 40,000 rpm and they are 90mm in diameter. I have no idea the pit...

Re: Colonial Viper

PK, have researched the EDF fans some more and I am more than a little surprised by the numbers I am getting. For 90mm fans in my price range they are rated at producing 4.3kg's of thrust each, so a pair has the potential of producing near 9kg's of thrust. Considering this will be continuous through...
