You could also experiment with a set of canard fins to reduce the weather cocking. The rocket will still travel along with the wind but it should help at keeping it pointing straight up.

Spacecad will give you a template for a gore panel based on the number of panels and size of chute you want, even adds in the hem.

I found a link to an australian supplier of this device at blip.com.au, they also have a range of video transmission equipment and I noticed they are looking at GPS.

Big low power or small mid power?

Im looking at launching a Saturn 1b at the next NSWRA meet with 4 clustered C6 motors. The total impulse is around the E mark so would this unit be classed as a mid powered rocket? Just wondering if a succsesful check and flight of this would clear me for MPR engines.
