It was indeed a great weekend! Unfortunately no launch pics, I was bit busy. Perfect recovery location: https://oi242.photobucket.com/albums/ff299/kryten__07/20190406_143208.jpg A pic of the crowd https://oi242.photobucket.com/albums/ff299/kryten__07/20190406_143125.jpg

I agree 100% with October Sky.
Start with a basic kit so you can learn the fundamentals of design and construction

Re: NSWRA - Mullaley Launch Photos - 8th/9th September 2018

I'm glad someone managed to get some photos - nice pics, Derek. It was a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people. 38 rockets launched on Saturday including 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts; and 26 launches on Sunday including another 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts. A highlight again was David's Patriot - anoth...

Re: Airframe choices (or why you should consider rolling your own airframes)

The strength comes from the fibre. The polymer binds the whole lot together. It's essentially a "glue"
Merely adding lots of resin, as in a bog, doesn't add anything to the strength

Hi Derek,
It was good to see you back!
Hopefully you'll be a bit more mobile by the time you launch the high power rockets - or is that why you're training your kids?
