Please note that the next launch at Whalan Reserve will be on Saturday 15th June (not the usual last Saturday of the month)

Flat attachment would work, and be very strong. But you're essentially doubling the weight of the fins with no aerodynamic benefit. This isn't a big issue if the fins are lightweight. A large flat area on a body tube has the least stiffness, which might explain why the fins are offset. TTW attachmen...

Nice! I wish I hadn't made my AV bay until I heard about this. It's a much simpler and elegant setup than my slide switch arrangement

I'm glad someone managed to get some photos - nice pics, Derek. It was a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people. 38 rockets launched on Saturday including 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts; and 26 launches on Sunday including another 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts.
