Re: Is the Earth Planet an Particle Accelerator?

How come the CERN particle accelerator was able to impose a above C speed to protons ? In fact, it could never have happened, after all this contraption is an electrical machine, unable to overcome the C speed. http://negrjp.fotoblog.uol.com.br/images/photo20161019064044.jpg BUT, if the accelerator ...

Possible explanation for the increased rate of C

Blue arch contains a violet chord. This chord projects an extra dimension in the path AB.

Re: Is the Earth Planet an Particle Accelerator?

The photons and neutrinos follow the same route so I don't know how you get the extra 7.905km. Gravitational lensing of any partical at near c on earth is negligible and you would need to use the universal gravity equation to caculate it not the 9.8m/s^2 approximation. Also c is only approximated t...

Re: Equivalence Principle Cotradiction

"what matters are the size of the region, and the duration of our observations, we are led to a formulation in which the equivalence principle is not just a useful approximation, but exactly true: Within an infinitely small ("infinitesimal") spacetime region, one can always find a re...

Re: Rocket Paradox

Thanks, HI!
As I know very little about rocket physics, I wanted to know if the mass of the propellant, its chemical kinetics [and the influence of propellant density, quoted by fellow Bejo] can be limiting factors to the maximum speed of rockets on sideral space.

Rocket Paradox

- Consider a launch rocket in outer space, far from any friction effect. - Consider a rocket whose fuselage is negligible. In these terms, the maximum speed that the rocket will reach aparently depends only on the amount of solid fuel. But there may be a paradox in these conditions: - If the mass of...

Re: Equivalence Principle Cotradiction

I see you are a free thinker. I admire that as too often science is taught in an authoritive manner, so when errors are made and accepted they then become entrenched. I don't agree with your thinking, but then neither do beleive that special relativity nor quantum phisics are properly understood. T...
