Re: Jolly Logic Altimeter - equalising holes required?
I received this from Jolly Logic: From: John Beans [mailto:john@jollylogic.com] Sent: Sunday, 26 March 2017 1:03 PM To: NewtonsLaws Cc: support@jollylogic.com Subject: Re: Questions on Jolly logic in general and Chute Release For Altimeters: yes to vents. If just Chute Release, no vent needed. Drog...

Re: Jolly Logic Chute Release
Thanks OTT and SMM! The motor ejection charge will deploy the drogue chute and then the Chute release will deploy the main chute at apogee. Just SIMming up the rocket now and looking at a 12inch drogue . any smaller and Openrocket does not like the decent velocity for opening the main chute it seems...

Jolly Logic Chute Release
Wrong place, wrong time! I was picking up an order from AusRocketry when I spied the new Jolly Logic Chute Release. I had seen these on the web and thought "that will be awesome!) and I am in the middle of a L1 build and getting worried about altitude on an H motor causing a lost rocket. So bei...

Jolly Logic Altimeter - equalising holes required?
Have enjoyed the Jolly Logic Altimeter (3).
But I was wondering if it needs pressure equalising holes in the body tube to ensure correct readings?
And should I assume the device will not work properly if I accidentally hit mach 1?

Re: Different Epoxy for Different purpose??
Thanks everyone!
I was looking at Loctite epoxy spec sheet.
it seems to have a higher termparater rating (150 deg C) and strength than Selleys araldite.
Any thoughts?
And where does one get this other magic stuff?
It does not seem to be in the common bunnings etc.

Different Epoxy for Different purpose??
Hi New to HPR. Aiming for L1 cert next rocket in April. Was told to use JB Weld for attaching motor retainer to motor mount tube for temperature. But not to use JB Weld for fillets as too brittle. Ok got that. BUT should I use JB Weld for centring rings to motor mount tube? centring rings to body tu...

Re: Jolly Logic 3 vs 2 stage rocket
Thank you for all your replies! And thank you John for your reply! Great to hear it could get it. Love the product. I know that LPR two stages are not a high frequency flight. But if you could add it to the improvement list please and we could do a firm ware update for the device. By Easter.... ;-) ...

Jolly Logic 3 vs 2 stage rocket
Launched a two stage rocket the other day. Jolly Logic Altimeter 3 did not show the second stage launch. Any thoughts on why this is? See below image. First stage end as 2.32 sec , second stage shows as delay time not thrust time. Blue fire Maiden Max altitude 1317 ft Date 12/03/2017 8:47 AM Mode Ro...
