Re: NAMMO Commercial HTP rocket dev and flight video

A LOT of money sunk into this.... amateur rocketry persons porn really. You're not kidding! It definitely brought Nammo into focus, I was unaware of them beforehand. They're HUGE and have their hands in all sorts of things. For instance. They designed the .338 Lapua Magnum round. They supply Rocket...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

Your slipping Drew, if you'd have looked a bit closer you would've noticed the numbers I quoted were wrong . I think 1100 may be the total amount of stock items. From a consumers point of view there's still too many empty shelves. Next time I'm whinging about stock levels I promise I wont mention r...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

I won't expect a small "hobby shop' to carry everything. But my original questions weren't about carrying everything. One was about if there were motors remaining after Thunda would the stock levels in the store get updated to reflect what's available. I also asked about altimeters and tracker...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

I see an enormous business opportunity here for you "Ace". Start your own company and start importing rocket motors. Can't be that hard can it? +1. This is what I can't really understand. AusRocketry effectively has a monopoly on hobbyist AP importation in this country, as well as in NZ. ...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

Yep, we're on the same website. Yep, there's 300 items in the 18 stock lines that you mentioned. Here's one for the Records Commitee - over 1100 stock lines that are out of stock! I think you're being incredibly unrealistic if you believe that a small family run business would outlay 10s of thousan...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

........... This is effectively the best way to ensure you get EXACTLY what you're after. .................... No, it's not. Speaking for one who knows. Ok Mark, what's your recommendation then? What better way is there to source AP motors in Australia other than placing your motor order when AusRo...

Re: Almost all motors on backorder

Alright folks, I think we need to confirm we're all looking at the same website! I just had a browse through the store, currently in 29mm and 38mm formats AusRocketry has OVER 300 reloads available in CTI and AeroTech 29mm and 38mm reload form factors. Below is a more detailed breakdown. AeroTech 29...

Re: what battery are you guys use?

This thread on TRF might help. https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/favorite-lipo-battery.152615/ And quoting Adrian A. from that thread. Emphasis mine. Lipo batteries are like disposable gloves in that the main consideration is to get the right size. The right battery will depend on the electronic...

Re: Thunda Down Under 2019 Photo and Video Thread

Sorry for the slow pace in posting video, I've had the flu and haven't been feeling my best. Regardless, yesterday I was able to edit together a TON of flight line video footage that I had from Friday. A few comments. 1) The video is best viewed in 1080p60. 2) If your launch is part of the video and...
