Rocket Lab Announces Reusability Plans For Electron Rocket

Hey Drew. Thanks so much for the post. I've watched the second video (18:50 min). It's very informative.

The Rocket Lab LC1 launch facility is very impressive. It's located at the end of the Mahia headland, near Wairoa on the North Island New Zealand. Their second launch facility (i.e. LC2) is under construction at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility (Virginia, USA).

The Rocket Lab's approach to reusability of the Electron booster is based on parachute and helicopter recovery. An explanation for this approach is mentioned in the video. It's certainly worth viewing if you like keeping up with news from the space industry.

The YouTube contributor, Everyday Astronaut (Tim Dodd), provides some interesting comments and background information on the feasibility of parachute/helicopter recovery for Rocket Lab's Electron booster.

That was successful. Now they can try chasing a real one. That should be fun :D .

They are still working on the chute system, once the splash and recover one and inspect it then they’ll move to mid air recovery.
