Homemade Astronauts

Postby drew » Thu May 20, 2021 11:14 am

So I've been watching this and I've gotta say it's a bit uncomfortable. I guess it's because we all know what happens to Mike Hughes at the end. It all seems a bit morbid to release this given what's occurred.

I'm all in for people attempting space shots with home made vehicles but I'm less enthusiastic about attempting to send people to space on a shoestring budget with minimal testing combined with all sorts of assumptions that things will work out fine. It just seems like a very expensive play to win the Darwin Award.

I hope no one else is hurt or dies in these pursuits moving forward.

Yes. I had same morbid feelings when I watched the preview.

You can't access it on Discovery+ outside the US....unless you do some VPN smoke and mirrors.

So good to see it on Youtube.

Shame the sound editing is so painful.

I don't recommend watching the full length episode posted on YouTube by Jolsha Ghor.

The editing is so bad its hard to watch. Not sure where it came from, but its obviously not the final version of the episode.
