Yay! Now we get to catch up to New Zealand. Maybe.

The politicians and Public Servants who have put us where we are should be ashamed. It was probably in the too-hard basket for them so they acquiesced and did nothing. Space is hard. It takes effort. Their effort certainly didn't serve the public well from the POV of our country.

To anyone in our rocketry community that has been helping push for this sort of thing (yes, there are a few out there), thank you. Future generations will thank you as well.

Crickey, a visionary decision from the federal government, well done to all involved, and SA based too.

Does that mean that South Aussies will soon be able to legally purchase a C6-0 Estes motor :?

I'm off to the shed to get cracking :P

Sounds really good. I am a bit skeptical when they start lumping in other stuff with it, effectively watering it down. "Australian Space, Science and Industry Agency". It is getting packaged up with other science and industry, if I am reading it right. Hope I am wrong on that.

Surely we can do better than these - what about:

Agency for Regional Space Exploration?

National Australian Rocketry Federation?

Agency for National Use of Space Exploration Ships?

Department of Exploring Rocket Ordinance?

Planetary and Interplanetary Space Scientific Exploration Department?

The name's been decided and the shirts are already available for order folks. You can find them here.
