I finally finished the paint job and have successfully flown the rocket twice.
Maiden flight was at NSWRA's Whalan Reserve low power launch 3 weeks ago. It's second flight was at NSWRA's high power launch at Mullaley.
On both occasions it flew really nicely on a D12-3. Its slow and steady off the pad, but looks good in the air.

The weathering paint work was very experimental and I definitely went too far with it, but you live and learn.
A few people have commented that the pipework between the fins could have been tighter to the body and therefore created less drag, but it was never designed to break any altitude records.
I wanted this project to be something a bit different and judging by all the comments at launches I succeeded. Its a great conversation starter and kids seem to love it.....so mission accomplished.
I'd like to fly it on an E motor one day to see how it goes.
I'll post some pics of it flying shortly.
