Nope! The bed will go on the top of the seat backrests! I thought about turning the seats into a bed but this restricted access to the boxes on each side as well as reduce storage. If it was going to be a regular camper, that's the way I would do it - but since this is going to lug rockets around, I needed space where fins etc. would fit.
For the trip to Perth and back, the bed will remain in place. In fact, it will be bolted down so if we manage to crash into something (worst-case scenario ) we won't be decapitated - turning what may well be a minor accident into a major one. That could be ugly!
With the bed in place, we can access the storage in the seats.
