Thank you Peter. :) We had fun launching this rocket, although at these pressures I always get a little nervous just before we push the button.

We'll try it again at the next HPR launch at higher pressures.

As it has been a couple of years since we last flew this rocket, it was time to dust it off again at the last Mullaley launch. Here is a highlights video from that flight:



We are still not sure what the upper pressure limit is for this rocket, though some recent ground tests on similar pressure chambers indicate, there still may be some significant room for further pressure increases. Though hydro tests on test samples can be quite different to a real pressure chamber that undergoes air compression heating and stresses under acceleration. We are likely to jump to 800psi for the next launch.

@SpaceManMat - That's why dad was wearing an old Helmet, eye protection and earplugs. I don't want to get anywhere near that thing. One day we'll get confetti. :D ...hmmm .... that will have to be the name of the next rocket ... "Carbon Confetti"
