I have had success so far with my tiny bag/masking tape deployment "caps" for dual deploy rockets.
But I have been seeing some rocketeers using other methods.
What have people been using?
I found this: https://macperformancerocketry.com/collections/aluminum-deployment-charge-canisters/products/aluminum-deployment-charge-canisters

What are your thoughts?

Re: Deployment charge
Unfortunately charge wells is one of a few things that Blake does not offer.

Re: Deployment charge
Empty shotgun cartridges do exactly the same job and they are a hell of a lot cheaper - a 1/4 BSW screws through the primer pocket neatly and seals it. I even went very fancy using 'blue' shells for the primary charge and 'red' shells for the back up charge.
In the past I used charge cups (shotgun shells) but now make up my ejection charges using centrifuge vials - drill a hole through the bottom to put an ematch inside - seal the hole with hot glue or just tape it. Add BP charge, fill any remaining space with recovery wadding and tape the lot to seal it.

Thanks awesome Str8up!
Where do you get the vials?
I found this but does not seem right. https://www.westlab.com.au/consumables/plasticware/tubes/153-559-micro-centrifuge-tube-15ml-pp-attached-cap

Re: Deployment charge
eBay is good for centrifuge vials.
I turn up my own canisters. I struck on the idea of leaving an o-ring groove on the top. When taping the tops closed sometimes the tape does not stick. It does not inspire confidence. An o-ring slipped over the tape holds it nice and secure.
Burying them in the enclosure also saves space in the chute bay.

Hey Rob, Will bring both the "shotgun case" set up and the vials to show you on Sunday.
