Fantastic weather and a good turnout for our June launch with many members families and guests in attendance. There were 37 flights for the day consisting of 3xA, 5xB, 12xC, 2xD, 7xF, 3xG, 3xH, 1xI, 1xJ motors and one water rocket.

Highlights include Mackenzie flying “Bumble Bee” an epic 4 times in quick succession to 500ft on B6-4’s. Warren launched “Light Sabre Short” from the clover tower on a H400 V Max to 1800ft. Blake’s guest Simone launched “Blizzard” to 2700ft on a H500 Super Thunder and was duped into Warren’s old ‘you fly it, you retrieve it’ chestnut.

Jeremy brought along his 1.7m long water rocket “Riding Hood” to work out some bugs for it’s maiden flight. Matt flew a rocket and actually got it back in one piece, sending his “PML Endeavour” to 3000ft on an I175. Well done Mr President.

Paul managed three flights, sending “Little Red”, “Blizzard” and “Disaster Patriot” up on C6-5, C6-5 and D21-7’s respectively.

Anglican Church Grammar School were also in attendance testing some prototypes for the upcoming Australian Youth Rocketry Challenge. Good work getting in early and good luck!

See you all in July!
