Thanks to QRS, Rob and Warren for RSO'ing and letting me fly some water rockets today.
Nice to get out there again. Flew with an Altimeter 3 this time and got some accurate results for a change. Thanks again

It was great to see everyone again. A big thank you to Blake for his midnight packing of my very late order and going beyond!

Was a big turnout... photo taken around 9:30am Image

Yes, thanks again to Blake for all his hard work making sure we have the things we need!!

Also a big thanks to Warren and Petar for LCOing and to Rob for RSO duties...

I managed to (finally) get my Deadpool rocket “Maximum Effort” up on an I195 after three trips to the pad trying to solve a flight computer arming problem. (Long story short I had a bad solder joint on my rotary switch) that I resolved with a twist and tape workaround..

Flew to just shy of 1500ft and suffered a main deploy at apogee. (I should have followed my gut at removed the motor ejection charge...)

All recovered and will be flying again next month at October Skies...

Incidentally, there was someone from one of the Uni teams present who got a great slow mo of my Deadpool launch. If this is you or you know who it was, (or if you got a video of the flight) can you help me get in touch please as I’d love a copy of the video...

Id guess it was the UQ Space group, they had some pretty nice camera gear. I see they posted and tagged everyone on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/36058466445563 ... 762416257/

I was the Callisto (Fluro Orange NC, Silver body) with the screamer

Thanks - I’ll get my partner to check it out - I don’t “Facebook”...

Congrats on your L1 btw...

Pretty cool video! Always impressive to see your creations take flight.

Thanks to QRS/AMRS my updated card already arrived and DNRME explosive form sent in. No doubt that will take 6-8weeks.
