Some really great flights this weekend, but as always, the best part was great company - catching up with old and some new friends!

Hey Digit, great to see you made the trip out to Westmar. Hope you had an enjoyable weekend.

Sorry we haven't had a chance to catch up yet with the business of the March public launch and prepping "The Big Fokker" at Westmar...

Hope to see you at Jimboomba in May... I'll be interested in hearing your feedback on the Blast Off program as well...

This!! Thanks for a great launch guys, especially Petar as LCO and everyone who helped setup the range. It was good to see foreign relations with our kiwi neighbours were maintained, although Craig, you had some interesting names for your rockets mate :D

My L3 Hyperloc 1600 rocket got a workout on an M1850 to 7940 ft before being dragged through the only fence for kilometers... The pink GLR Mariah 38 got spanked to Mach 1.5 on an I280DM and was recovered without tracking in the next paddock over :) I'll put it into retirement now.

Sounds good mate, I'll be there with my young lad and his first rocket :D .
I must have been off chasing my rocket when you were setting The Big Fokker up, I was back in time to see it launch though. I was going to come up for a chat as you were packing her away but you looked a bit rushed. I will be glad to give some feedback on the Blast Off program and help refine it. It would be great to see some more people going through it, especially our younger members and those wanting mentoring.

Don't really know, Mat. Haven't downloaded any of the data, but I'd guess it came down maybe 2km away (which makes it nowhere near the edge of even the first paddock) and, as for descent rate, the altitude was just over 10k' and you can see from the video length how long it took, i.e. 10,000' in 500 sec = 20 ft/sec.
