Mentor Scheme

Postby jhurst7 » Sat Jul 16, 2016 4:11 pm

Hello everyone,

The other day, I got my membership in the mail and I got an information sheet with it. It said that I could join a mentor scheme. Does anyone have any information about this?
Thanks

Hi James

Welcome to QRS! The qldrocketry.com website has a registration of interest form under members services in the members only section. If you fill this out and show it the RSO at the next launch day we'll be able to get things moving....

See you at the August launch!

I'm interested in what this involves. Is it possible to get some details?

Hi James, if you're wanting to be mentored I highly recommend also trying out the QRS Blast Off Awards program, there are great written guides and checklists for each of the three levels of the program along with tons of links to articles all over the web and also our club LPR and MPR information packs.

The program has had me design and scratch build two rockets I never would have built for fear of trying (staged and clustered) and I've learned heaps already.

Jeff Cheales is who you want to chat to about it at our next launch day.

I am also interested in the mentoring scheme in particular around building a L2 rocket.

Cheers :)
