Question?? ..........Where did the 6,000ft ceiling come from....it seems a little unusual....given that the 5,000ft was the accepted maximum for the site....not that I am complaining....but just curious?

I thought I would ask for an extra 1000 to see if I got a yes and I got a yes . Mind ponders the next ceiling height I can ask for :D

It is 8000ft until controlled airspace I think 6000ft is as high as we can go until we have to ring the control tower for each flight. I may be able to get another 500ft depends on the asl to agl and the buffer between the two. I will sort that out over the xmas break.

or maybe its the carton of bourbon I sent him LOL

Looks a bit warm, might not hurt to check if any fire bans have been put in place before you drive all the way out there :-)

Looking at how brown the paddocks were and given what happened last year in bush fires, can you blame him?

Yeah, it (the paddock) looked awful. I don't imagine I would have launched. The images of those I & H flames from past launches makes me glad Fireman Sam came along to convince me otherwise!

Hey... I'm happy....I went home with more rockets than I arrived with :D

Thanks to diligent farm workers I have a shiny red rocket again!!!

Seriously though, I believe PARC showed a great deal of sense by deciding to cancel launches due to potential fire hazard.

These sort of tough decisions will only serve us well when dealing with government authorities when trying to gain exemptions in the future. Even NASA has to call an abort when the conditions are not exactly favorable.

Spot on after thinking about it did look too dry and maybe the gods are looking after the club as i think if a fire was started in that wind i dont think we could get into the old fire truck quicker enough to make a difference. See you all on the 2nd of Dec.
