NSWRA - Mullaley Launch Photos - 8th/9th September 2018

Postby Aquaman33 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:53 pm

My family and I had a great weekend at our first high power launch.

A huge thank you to everyone that helped with set up, RSOing, LCOing, packing away and anything else.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the weekend for me was the friendly co-operation between members. It was great to see members sharing knowledge, equipment, motors, igniters, parachutes etc.

Congratulations to all the members who achieved MPR, Level 1 or Level 2 status. I don't have a list of names, but hopefully someone can add it to this thread.

I will post a load of photos in this thread, but I thought would start with the highlight of the weekend - David's half scale Patriot. It was a privilege to see it fly.

More photos to follow.

Cheers,

Derek

Thanks for posting/sharing Derek, good to see that you and your family had a great weekend.... :D

That KBA M3500 really got the Patriot of the pad quick, not to mention the 12" deep crater and 7 meter wide ejector it left behind...

I'm glad someone managed to get some photos - nice pics, Derek.

It was a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people.
38 rockets launched on Saturday including 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts; and 26 launches on Sunday including another 4 L1 and 1 L2 attempts.
A highlight again was David's Patriot - another impeccable flight

David I think all big rockets should be measured in terms of how many children you can fit in the blast crater.

The Patriot has almost a "5 child crater".

8) love that photo.... I guess the next launch will have to be on a N5800 to try and beat the 5 child record...

You bring the N5800 and I'll organise the children.

:D
