an open invitation

Postby andrew scott » Tue Aug 11, 2009 5:59 pm

got this E-mail today

Dear MMRG

To celebrate National Science Week the year 11 and 12 physics classes at Sunbury Downs Collage have an annual rocket building competition. The Sunbury Downs Science Club would like to extend an invitation to your organization, we would like to give you the opportunity to show our students how rocketing is really done. Basically this is an open invitation for you to put on any sort of demonstration during lunch time (12.45-1.30) in the month of August we are flexible on the date so when ever is good for you. i am not sure where you are situated or if it is logistically possible to get to our school, Mitchells Lane Sunbury VIC 3429, this is a western suburb school with about 500 students and a football field sized oval.

Thanks for your time
Jessica Dunn, Sunbury Downs Science Club.

Sounds like a worthy cause, but I'm tied up during the week with work.

G'day Andrew....I could take a day off to give you a hand and launch a couple of Estes type rockets.

Cheers,
Pete

That is a perfect opportunity for you guys to spread the word about this great hobby ! It is really worth the effort ! :D

We launch always a small rocket on B6-4 as it doesn't break any regulations. I'm sure you have seen it on the thread. We'll be attending our 8:th school on Friday and it's great fun for all. 8)
