Hi guys. Almost finished scratch building an ACME 'coyote vs roadrunner' rocket. Based on an empty toilet roll... Just got 1/8 square spruce for the stick this morning. Will fly on A3-4 with parachute recovery. Building a new two stage. My original two stage 'Projectile vomit' has a bad habit of not deploying it's parachute and is gradually getting shorter and shorter... Making a little one out of a shuttle cock. Repaired my damaged pimped 'Who's Your Daddy?" (Estes Big Daddy) Had faulty delay on CTI 24mm motor, deployed immediately at end of boost and got a big zipper. Trying to figure out how to make my 7.5inch diameter V2 proper dual deploy without cutting the body to make an avionics bay. I tried dual deploy with a Jolly Logic parachute deploy thingy which worked except that the main parachute shroud was tangled and it came down all the way under three foot diameter drogue. Didn't land too heavy but got a zipper so I need to mount altimeter deploy at apogee any way. I could do that and keep it single deploy with the three foot chute but it would be nice to slow her down with the six foot chute for landing.. Cheers, Mark O

Welcome to the forum Mark 8)

The ACME rocket sounds like an interesting build.

Hi Lachlan. It flies! Not well, but it flies. It's about 70% effect and 30% effective. Looks WAY better than it flies!
