Hello Again

Postby Passaretti » Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:17 am

It's been quite some time since I contributed to this forum, so I figured I would take a minute to reintroduce myself.

In 2011 when I joined AusRocketry, I was temporarily living in WA, but I resided permanently in New Jersey. New Jersey is where I was born and lived until about 4 years ago. This is also where I started flying rockets at the age of eleven and joined Tripoli Rocketry in 1995. In 2014, I left the small aerospace robotics company I worked at for 9 years, for a new exciting position in utility robotics. Today, I live in Long Island, NY.

In April 2011, I arrived in Australia for work, but also with the goal of accomplishing my level 3 certification. By the time I left, I had my level 3 thanks in large part to many members of this community. I also left with ambitions, along with other forum members to fly a certain CTI motor that had been causing a lot of fliers havoc. We had a lot of laughs and exchanged a lot of jokes while sharing and preparing our projects for the long road to Nevada the following year. While I appreciate things have changed quite a bit since then with regard Tripoli in Australia, and the advent of AMRS, I still feel this is the best place for me to post my projects and seek advice. So here I am.

In a few days, I will start a new thread for my project this year: A minimum diameter CTI N5800 in a single-use composite case for BALLS 27, 21-23 Sept 2018. This project has been in the works since coming home from BALLS in 2014. Work and the lack of a home workshop have made it difficult to advance this composite motor case project for the past few years. That all has changed for the better; I have a backlog of posts to catch-up on. It's time to get down to business.

I look forward to meeting all of the new members, having some fun and good discussions about our projects.

Thank you,
Mike Passaretti, TRA 5369
