Hello from Brisbane

Postby kir » Thu Aug 20, 2015 11:25 am

Hi there,

I'm looking for a project to joint to. Specifically, I'd love to be a part of a team who builds big rockets (or huge - up to the real ones :D ).
My expertise are: electronics (sensors, aviation instruments, prototyping, telemetry and remote control), parts fabrication, painting and some others.
Not much experience with explosives though.

Cheers
Kir

There is a wealth of info here and top guys to answer your queries.

If you haven't been to QRS launches as of yet, make sure you do so as you get to meet many of us there. 8)

Kir, the next Westmar launch is in September. It is not to be missed as the people tend to mess around with big and high altitude stuff out there. If you have time to get out there, it would be worth it...

Cheers

It's not really advertised as it is a members-only launch, but it's on the last weekend of September (26/27). Suggest you contact someone at QRS to discuss details, easiest is Blake (kopius on this forum). Note that it is a bit of a trek, but it is the way of our world, namely long distances to obscure and isolated parts of the planet to go play with things that scare most people. The launch site is near the town of Westmar in south-central QLD, i.e. where Thunda Down Under was held in March. It's more than a day-trip, but you won't be sorry...
