Howdy

Hey guys, just thought id introduce myself quickly :)

My names Jordan, im 24 and ive been launching on and off since i was about 10. I got my first kit as a gift for being a page boy at a wedding and used to launch with my dad pretty often. I have made my own LPR rockets from scratch when i was about 13 and drifted a little away from the hobby through highschool. Never flew more than a B until recently as i was quite limited by park space.

I have gotten back into the fun over the last year or so, flown a few Cs and Ds now and have got my interest back. I love anything thats a little more out of the box and different. Im looking at building a guided rocket for targeted and powered landing, and would love to one day see and potentially even help Australia get on the map for space exploration, but thats just a childs dream haha

Im looking at joining a club here in WA, doing my HPR certs, and planning on studying aerospace and aeronautical engineering when i can find time for Uni. I have successfully passed the rocketry bug onto my three year old daughter (who now "knows everything about rockets" :lol: ) and im working on my wife and one year old son too

So, hi! Keep your eyes peeled for my dumb questions and insane ideas haha

Plenty to see and learn here and I'm sure someone from the WA club will be in contact soon to help out with info and guidance. It's a real pity you didn't join a few weeks earlier as you could have gone to the HPR launch in Williams WA over the June long weekend! Boy, did you miss one hell of a party!

Did you have a couple of launches at Wildfire in June or am I confusing you with another Jordan*?
If it was you, I may have a couple of photo's for you :)

*EDIT: Hmmm, maybe it was Jerome? Too long ago now.

Welcome to the forum Jordan! The next WARS launch is Sunday August 7th at our Grass Valley launch site. If you contact Scoop he will get back to you with specifics about the club and the next launch. Until then fire away with any questions!

FYI I'm planning a fairly big launch for the next Grass Valley launch (well, big for our Grass Valley launch site) so hopefully you'll be able to make it!

Must be confusing me with another Jordan haha, my first day out to a club was as grass valley sunday just gone. I was the young fella with the two kids that wouldnt stop squawking haha
