Looking Down the Barrel

At the end of last year we set up the camera to see if we could film a rocket coming straight at it. Here is the result:

Crop Circles: ... just a bunch of guys looking for their rockets ....

Brilliant work George ! Your work is always truly amazing....ps. Loved the slow motion where you see the shadow of the rocket on the ground.....cool. 8)

Thanks Ari. We had fun doing this one. We didn't know about the shadow until we reviewed the footage while editing. :D

Thanks guys. We would like to have another go of this one, but make the deflection wire more rigid so it doesn't deflect sideways. We tried to make the arm as light as possible so it had low inertia and move out of the way quickly, but this allowed it to vibrate too much. We'll try to add supports to stop the arm rolling in order to get more stable video.
