There has been some unexpected delays and there is a current ETA from the shipping line for end of May.

One of the manufacturers had some issues which initially held up the shipment and I had been harassing Americans for information which I received just this morning.

The next shipment which will be for Thunda will be due to ship late December and there will be a number of discussions with suppliers to highlight if anyone has hold ups, their product won't be on the ship as we cannot afford delays like this.

Sorry for any inconveniences this delay has caused, I am sure the quantity of product will certainly make up for it though.

I have received an update from the shipping line who have told me due to the bad weather on the east coast of the USA, many shipments including this one have been rolled another week. This should see the container land in Australia first week of June.

What do you mean "something else"? Surely you meant "as well as/on top of" ;-)

Let me scroll back to 2007.....to launch anything bigger than E was nearly unheard off...I recall ordering few F's and G's from a hobby store in Sydney and back then paid $ 59.95 EACH for F20

I also well remember helping Blake unpack the very first shipment...maybe 10 or so cartons and I thought I have died and gone to rocketry heaven....

I personally can't praise Blake's efforts enough over the years what sort of crap he had to put up in the early years to make this happen so all of us can enjoy now MPR/HPR rocketry in Australia.

Yes, he is a great personal friend but that's not why I'm writing this at all but those very difficult early years that I witnessed first hand are always a reminder to me where we are now..thanks to this young man's persistence not to ever give up ! :D

Blake himself would be more frustrated than anyone else on these delays but it will happen.

NOTE : No ...I'm not getting any kick backs from writing this.... :P

Thanks Ari! I really appreciate the support and reminder of the challenges that has landed us where we are today. There is only a handful of people that can truly appreciate the journey that we have been on.

The history of consumer rocketry in this country and how rapidly it has progressed to what we see today is often overlooked. I believe it is important to never forget our roots and outcomes that have been reached by striving for big goals. Less than a decade ago, I know many of us couldn't even fathom an 'O' motor in this country, now they are readily available, along with the biggest variety of propellant outside of North America.

I remember that shipment you are talking about and how much of a logistical headache it was at the time. In hindsight, it was a breeze and as the shipments get bigger, it is just natural for new challenges to arise. In this case, nature (weather) is apparently the biggest hurdle, which is unfortunately out of everyones hands.

What Australian Rocketry set out to achieve has been far surpassed with the availability of products that once was only a dream. I wish we could eliminate the big blue ocean hurdle that has so many variables attached, however in the meantime we will just keep pushing and growing rocketry in this country (and others for that matter).

Don't take my previous post too seriously. :D I was very much tongue-in-cheek.

We are all very glad of the herculean efforts you have, and will, put in to getting all this great product through the bureaucracies and to our doorstep.
