Which club?

Postby T713 » Mon Aug 26, 2019 11:32 am

Hi all
Question:
Being from the coffs area what club should I be joining?
NSW or QLD.
Seems like a simple question however!

Do I need to join ARA or AMRS as well.

Hi Pete,

You're up for a good drive regardless of whether you join NSW or QLD. I'd recommend joining us in QLD, but then I'm totally biased.

As for your second question, the Australian Rocketry Association web page says:

Membership is currently closed as regrouping & reformation of the ARA Inc commences.
Bye,
Mike

I am also biased but......

New South Wales Rocketry Association holds its High Power launch weekends in Gunnedah, which is about 4 and a half hours drive from Coffs.

Sounds like a long way but most of our members live around Sydney, so we all drive 5 or more hours to get there. That's just the nature of High Power launch sites. I think its worth it for a weekend of launches.

Unfortunately our low and mid power launches are at Whalan, which will be a 5 and a half drive for you.
