The twilight years?

As suggested by SpaceManMat, please add and information that you may have in regards to the early years of Model Rocketry in Australia (this should be an interesting post).

A great video and a wonderful record of the "early years".

So many hilarious quotes, but my favourite is "North Turramurra tip was deemed large enough for the launch" and then a few minutes later "the rocket flew towards houses in a neighboring suburb."

Russel Coight does rockets!

We had a guy pitch up to the first WARS launch of the season earlier in the year who had some interesting info. Apparently long before WARS, Tripoli WA, or PARC there was Tripoli Perth. They could never get their hands on anything larger than G class solids. So they started looking into hybrids and the guy we were speaking to ordered a full set of Hypertek hybrid motors. Half of the order showed up just before Sept. 11th and the second half was finally released by Customs months after. I'm not sure how it all ended but it was interesting none the less.
