Sunlight readable TFT HMI

Postby strud » Mon Oct 28, 2019 12:39 pm

Hi All

Just ordered one of these to upgrade my hand held rocketry 'pendant' for GSE and rocket monitoring/tele-command system.

Data sheet here

https://au.mouser.com/datasheet/2/291/NHD-4.3-480272FT-CSXN-T-1219249.pdf

Advantage over what I'm currently using is the significant improvement in graphics programming and indeed the types of widgets, scales, gauges etc available and supported within the display engine.

I had been trying to find something like this with a transflective display but alas these seem to be very hard to come by and indeed look to be disappearing. So instead this one has a super bright backlight to make it sunlight readable.

Connection to the pendant uC etc is via SPI bus.

Will post more once I have it up and running with something useful to show.
