Facilities will be available onsite for TRA members wishing to attempt L1, L2 & L3 certifications

Excellent, great to see you Westerners start your 2013 season!

Hopefully just in time for the new products. There is a new sparky motor that I'm sure you guys are going to love to see.

Can't wait to see some photos

*************** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ***************

This launch will be carried over to the following weekend due to a conflict of operations.
It will now be held on Sunday 21st April, however the range operating times will remain the same.

The local aero club is conducting an event which will significantly impact on our ability to operate within our operating instrument parameters, so in the interest of a smooth launch it has been decided to re-schedule the event.

Apologies for the late notice.

******** UPDATE ********

The launch on Sunday 21st at Grass Valley will proceed as scheduled.
The weather conditions for Northam are looking quite good with only a late shower forecast.

The winds are predicted to be low and from the South/South West.

Looking forward to seeing as many members as possible and a bunch of new faces.

Range opens at 09:30

Yeah..... It was a funny kind of day weather wise.

Although it apparently rained in Perth, there was none in GV........ Clouds came and went for most of the day, as did a strange surface wind, making launching kind of selective in timing.

The winds above 500' were almost non existent, so recoveries remained close to the pads.

Great to see a few new enthusiastic new faces, and hope to see them back next time.

Congratulations to Mark on his L2 flight on a CTI K360 ....... well done!

Hey Chris! The rocket that looks like it did a loop actually did multiple loops! It was one of Keith's and definitely had some stability issues. Luckily it was quite small so I'm pretty sure it sustained minimal (if any) damage.

I'm looking forward to Williams mate! Not long now...

Well, it all worked out ok but it was not perfect. Drogue tried to go through the buttonhole on the nomex blanket so it was a droguess recovery. Didnt come down much faster than it would have under drogue but left me with a very twisted mess of a shock cord. Main came out and did its job effectively though :)

Lesson learnt and i wont be doing a harness lke that again :)
