From the link.

Interstellar Technologies Inc have been working towards launch of their Momo sounding rocket, this will be the first private rocket launch to go to space from Japan.

Momo is 9.9m long, 0.502m diameter and has a lift off weight of 1000kg. Able to deliver a 20kg payload to 120km in altitude the rocket is powered by a 12kN lox/ethanol pressure fed engine.

Thanks for sharing Drew, very interesting design, its finless! Interesting to see if it uses gimballing or vernier thrust etc to stabilise, or spin is imparted at launch somehow. Either way it will be very hi tech for a private launch. I look forward to watching it go up.

Some really impressive work on the engine, looks like they've kept everything as simple as possible without compromise. Be interesting to see the launch.

They have a few engine test videos, looks like it's using gimballing:

They have another video of a flight length burn, 2 minutes seems like forever! Really awesome to watch.

Thanks Rainier, I couldn't watch videos on my phone, only look at the article.

I've had a chance to watch most of their channel now. That is one clean burning motor!

After several delays the rocket was launched in almost zero visibility fog but was given an emergency stop shortly after liftoff due to a loss of telemetry.
