Postby Wingnut » Tue Jan 22, 2019 1:12 pm

There's a news article on the SBS website about wreckage from the Black Arrow rocket being recovered from the Woomera Range and transported back to Scotland to go on display.

Here's a link to the article:

There are some videos on YouTube that provide some very interesting background on the the Black Arrow:

Black Arrow British rocket:"Abandoned after the first successful launch satellite" (2:25 min)

Black Arrow : The Lipstick Rocket - A Very British Space Program (11:40 min)

    Black Arrow Montage (1:47 min)

BLACK ARROW, British rockets story, Part 1. (8:38 min)

BLACK ARROW, British rockets story, Part 2. (8:42 min)

BLACK ARROW, British rockets story, Part 3. (7:40 min)

Bye,
Mike

As a current regular visitor to Edinburgh, this is very exciting. I will take some photos and post them when she arrives.
