It is really nice to see their efforts and professionalism pay off. Go team! A well-deserved win.

Here was an interview they did with the ABC before leaving for the USA

Excellent news!

Maybe rocketry’s profile can be raised a bit in Australia by this and grab a few seconds of attention away from frigging my kitchen rules and whose got the least brain cells with a pretty face generic TV show....

2.7% margin of error is quite remarkable.

Such a great effort.

NSWRA had a 400 foot altitude comp recently and don't think anyone got within 27 feet of the target!

To get that close 3km up is fantastic.

It was a very excited phone call I got on Sunday night, just after the awards ceremony. They really are a great team to work with.

Here are some pics from their Facebook page:

The story in my previous post just got aired on the major news slot this evening. They are getting some well-deserved exposure, and raising the profile of HPR in Australia too. Go team! :D 8)

The scores have just been released, and as well as taking out the 10k' COTS category in first place they also scored the highest points of any of the teams at the competition. Unfortunately no prize for that one, except for bragging rights :D .
