Nice work, mate!
Do you know when the "Scope" episode is being shown?

Thanks David ! :)

They haven't informed me yet but it won't be far away I believe.

Thank you Blake for posting here. Sadly ( and expectedly) there were some important omissions in this segment....one was that that they were going to show OZ Thunder and OZ Area 51 launches to show some of the bigger rockets in action....

Also, I had a poster showing launch of the OZ Area 51 right behind me and I as it showed Australian Rocketry logo on the corner....they must have filmed it in an angle to cut it off....I was not happy about that as Blake deserves that name to be seen out there...this young man has done so much for our hobby ! 8)

I managed to catch the last 10 minutes of Scope - and fortunately that's when Ari was on.

I have just few hours ago returned from Warrigal Rd Sate School ( in Eight Mile Plains, south side of Brissie) doing a talk and display of rocketry....this would be the last for the year.

The teacher who had organized the talk/display actually worked with Petar in the past...

This school has a science week all this week and this formed part of the program.

I spoke to around 100 students from grades 4, 6 and 7 at first. After Q/A I showed the DVD and it was time to head to the oval for the launch.

Warrigal rd is the largest school around Brisbane ( maybe QLD...?) with 1380 registered students and it was quite an experience to walk to the middle of the oval with most of the students and teachers gathered around ........daunting is one way to describe it and praying again that motor ignites at first go...

Weather was absolutely perfect with very little wind and all went to plan...straight boost to apogee and recovery with a streamer within 10 meters....and the students went wild... :D

Lot of brochures went out including for the AYRC...... 8)

Nice work Ari, what sort of rocket do you normally use for a School launch and how high?

I'm not sure about the largest school in QLD, but it certainly is up there!

Hey Matt, I used a small Patriot for many launches on B6-4 and now I use "Speed Freak" on the same motor...takes it to around 300 feet...I also now use a streamer to bring it down quicker as some ovals aren't that big. :)

That 400 feet rule is a bit of a pain, have you ever done a drag race to make it more exciting?
