epoxy paint

Postby Lister » Thu Oct 15, 2015 12:02 pm

I was in my local paint shop the other day and noticed a paint that has an epoxy in it to give it a very durable finish.. I just noticed a similar paint in the autobarn catalogue.. has anyone used this type of paint before, and if so does it live up to the claim on the bottle or have any drawbacks?

Worried about your rockets rusting?
Nah, never tried them, interesting though.

Possibly additional weight ?.

The cans might not go far either. Skeptical an epoxy could bond as well as an etch primer in that application.

I am not sure how well it would stick.. more interested in how hard of a finish it will have.. if it gave a hard finish could use less coats of paint.
