Road Case Hardware

Help...!!!

Anyone know where I can purchase (in Australia) components to construct Road Cases (Butterfly Latches, Handles, Double Extrusions, Ball Corners, ABS Laminate, etc) Penn for example.

We had a case done by them back in the 80's. It was for an analog computer that allowed us to calibrate the brakes on our trams. Really great cases, and they are still around!

Have you tried dq.com.au
I haven't used them but they appear to have most of what you want.
What extrusion are you after?
What type of ABS are you after? If you mean the type with aluminium skins, I order that in through my local steel merchant.

Hi gents,

Thanks for your suggestions, I've been to DJ City (this is were I will be purchasing my TRUSS from), and viewed DQ online, I'm trying to source ALL parts to be able to make my own road case (x4), I've found this site http://www.cliff.com.au/, it's in WA, but I'm running short on time.

Hi Viking,

The panels are just 7mm plywood http://www.bunnings.com.au/bc-plywood-900-x-600-x-7mm-project-panel_p0390152, painted with a 2 pack primer and top coat, no time to cut and polish them :roll: Marine plywood would have given a better finish, but they weigh more, as it was the cases were 1). 1520x620x500 = 52kg & 2). 1220x520x400 = 30kg... If there is a next time, I will get the ABS panels pre-cut (if I can), and invest in a AU drop saw blade, to cut the panels with a jigsaw and hacksaw the AU was just a nightmare, not to mention the 580 pop rivets...

I didn't get the ABS sheet as the supplier only provided full sheets, and transport from QLD was not an option (the suppler does not provide a cutting service).

I just happen to know someone in QLD that can cut them for you and send down... ;)
